Tour of a Bologna Factory

To make Bologna welted shoes, there are three main operations:

- An extra soft leather pad is sewn to the lining where the foot will rest to create a true inside slipper.
- The last is inserted into the slipper and then the upper is positioning all around the last and sewn to the lining-pad with
  a first stitch
- The outsole is attaching to the upper and lining and a second stitch from the inside to the outside is realized.
